Terms and conditions

Last updated October 15, 2026

Template text. Have it reviewed for your practice and jurisdiction before you publish.

These terms apply when you use this website, run by Law Office LLC. By using the site you agree to them.

Not legal advice

Everything on this site is general information about the practice and the law as it commonly applies. It is not legal advice for your situation and you should not act on it as if it were. The law changes, and small facts change outcomes.

Advice begins only in a consultation, and a client relationship begins only when we both sign an engagement letter. Sending the form, emailing or calling us does not make you a client and does not create a duty of confidentiality beyond this privacy policy.

Consultation requests

Sending the form is a request, not a booked consultation. A consultation is booked only when we contact you to agree a time, after a conflict check.

We may decline a matter, for example where we act for the other side or where it is outside what we do. If so we will tell you promptly and, where we can, suggest where else to go.

If you need to cancel or move a booked consultation, please give us at least 24 hours notice.

Fees

Any fees on this site are sample figures and a guide only. The fee for your matter is set out in a written fee agreement before any work starts, and that agreement is what you agree to.

Using the site fairly

  • Do not send false requests or try to disrupt the site.
  • Do not copy the site content for commercial use without permission.

Links to other sites

We link to other sites, such as maps and social media, for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Liability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or online. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Questions? Email hello@example.com.
